Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Legacy OS exists to hold a family's most personal information. That only works if the privacy promise is absolute. Here it is, in plain language.
What we store
The information your family enters: calendar, tasks, lists, budgets, account balances you type or import, documents metadata, memories, goals, and profiles. Without a database connected, data lives only in your own browser. With accounts enabled, it is stored encrypted at rest, isolated per family with row-level security — one family can never read another's rows.
What we never do
No selling data. No advertising. No sharing with data brokers. No training AI models on your family's information.
Sensitive numbers
Passport, policy, and traveler numbers are masked by default; revealing one requires a deliberate tap and is logged to your family's own feed. Bank credentials are never seen by the app — connections go through dedicated providers (SimpleFIN/Plaid), and their tokens live only in the server environment.
Third parties, only when you connect them
Calendar feeds you paste, Hebcal for zmanim, link previews for pages you save, AI answers (a snapshot of your numbers is sent with your question and not stored by us), and bank sync — each is optional and off until you turn it on.
Your rights
Export everything or delete everything, any time, from Settings. Deleting your family removes all rows permanently.
